Governor’s Hurricane Conference returns to West Palm Beach after two years due to COVID-19

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — After a two-year break due to COVID-19, the Governor’s Hurricane Conference is back in West Palm Beach.

“Stronger Together” is the theme for this year’s conference.

The 36th annual conference will have schedules filled with what lessons were learned during the historic 2020 and 2021 seasons and what can be applied to this new season that begins in 21 days.

Monday is the first day of the weeklong educational outreach for emergency management, hurricane specialists and other meteorologists across the state.

There will be 40 training sessions and more than 50 workshops at the Palm Beach Convention Center.
