Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a new judicial appointment Tuesday to the 14th Judicial Circuit Court.

DeSantis appointed Devin Collier of Panama City to serve as a judge in the Panhandle-based circuit. He will take the place of Judge John L. Fishel II, who recently retired.

A University of West Florida and Florida A&M Law graduate, Collier has served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 14th Circuit since 2019. Before that, he worked as the lead attorney adviser with the U.S. Department of the Interior.
