Average listing price for rentals increased by 55 percent in Palm Beach County

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The price of housing has skyrocketed across South Florida, and new numbers show that renters are being priced out of our area too.

The National Association of Realtors shows the average listing price for rentals in Palm Beach County in the month of February increased by 55 percent, compared to the listing price of homes in the same area which only increased by 23 percent.

While some experts are suggesting renting in Florida is a smarter decision with the housing crisis in our midst, Adrianne Kurman with True Floridian Realty says its not.
